Introduction
Welcome to the Governors section of the BELB website
dedicated to the role and work of Governors in the BELB area.
The aim is to provide information on a wide range of Governor related
matters in an easy to use format which will be of value both to
existing Governors and those interested in becoming a school Governor.
To those of you who already are Governors we would take this opportunity
to thank you for your time,energy and iterest in making your very
valuable contribution to the education of young people in the Belfast
Board area.
As schools become more openly accountable for what they do the role
of Governors is becoming increasingly demanding as they become more
pro-active in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of their
school.
