New Literacy and Numeracy materials to support Count, Read: Succeed

Count, Read: Succeed sets out the DE’s strategy for improving outcomes in Literacy and Numeracy.

The Ministerial Foreword recognises that teachers are the key to raising standards and that they need to “have the flexibility to draw on their professional judgement and use a broad and balanced range of approaches to developing Literacy and Numeracy” The Inter-board Literacy/Numeracy Group has developed a range of materials which will support co-ordinators and teachers in the implementation of this strategy.

Each of the resources focuses on providing practical guidance that will support co-ordinators and teachers in providing high-quality teaching for all pupils.
