Equality Unit
The section is responsible for ensuring that the board meets its statutory obligations in a complex range of legislation. This includes disability and sex discrimination, fair employment, equal pay, human rights and race relations. The section is actively involved in looking at the impact of new laws relating to equality and human rights.
The Belfast Education and Library Board through its Equality
Unit, is committed to securing fair and equal consideration
of applications by persons seeking to be employed by the board,
and fair and equal treatment of persons who are so employed.
